  • Can I make more than one application per year?

Yes, you can make up to two applications a year but they must be for different thematic rounds.

  • Can a % of the Factory Foundation grant go towards core costs?

Yes, we expect organisations to allocate between 20-25% of the award towards core costs.

  • Can we apply to the FF for a % of costs within a larger project budget that we hope to or have funded from elsewhere?

Yes, and we have a section on the application form where we invite you to give us more information about other funding you already have or are applying for towards your project.

  • Will you always fund the amount we/I have applied for?

We reserve the right to award grant amounts that may cover all or some of the application you make to the Factory Foundation.

  • When and how will we be notified of the grant outcome?

We will inform you via email of the outcome of your grant proposal within three weeks of the grant round deadline.  We will not be able to give feedback if you are unsuccessful, however in some cases, we may ask you to re-submit your application to another thematic round that we think it may be more suited to.

  • What if I can’t achieve my project in the quarterly timescale?

If your project timeline starts to slip then we request that you contact us as soon as possible to arrive at a mutual agreement about how you will proceed.
